Francesco Del Governatore serves as the Co – CEO and Board Member of GIA Healthcare, bringing a wealth of leadership experience to his role. A graduate of Bocconi University in Milan, he began his career at JP Morgan before earning a Master’s degree in Project Management.

Francesco developed his expertise within major corporations, holding various leadership roles and gaining extensive international experience. He has built strong business relationships across the globe, contributing to his dynamic and strategic approach to business growth and development.

Terry Shapiro serves as the Co-CEO and Board Member at GIA Healthcare, bringing over 35 years of experience in mental health and addiction. A Certified Addictions Counselor with a bachelor’s degree in social work from Winona State University in Minnesota and a master’s degree in Human Services Counseling (with an emphasis on addictions) from the National Louis University in Evanston, IL., Terry Shapiro is an expert in Addiction Treatment. With over 25 years of experience working in addiction and behavioral health – Terry began his career as an alcohol and drug abuse counselor; has previously served as an Employee Assistance Counselor for Amtrak Railroad and then as the Executive Director at the Council for Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services in Tennessee as well as Hazelden Foundation’s Chicago location. Throughout the years, Terry Shapiro has extensively presented at national and regional conferences, conducted countless interventions, and provided numerous print and broadcast interviews on addiction treatment – During his time working in Bogota, Colombia, Terry saw a need and implemented addiction prevention programs in schools and provided counseling to the local youth and their families. An avid baseball fan, Terry even operated a baseball academy in Colombia and was also a scout for the world-famous Atlanta Braves and Chicago Cubs. Nowadays Terry is a ‘social animal’ and enjoys spending quality time with his wife and three children and two boxers, Luna and Maya.

Dr. Jose M. Morales has demonstrated a strong and consistent dedication to integrated, whole-person medical care since his early years. His initial exposure to the physiology of elite athletes allowed him to observe the effectiveness of collaborative, multidisciplinary treatment—sparking a lasting interest in behavioral health and the connection between physical and mental well-being. Originally from Puerto Rico, Dr. Morales earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology before completing his Doctor of Medicine. He gained broad clinical experience in emergency medicine, cardiology, and behavioral health, ultimately discovering that psychiatry best aligned with his passion for helping others through meaningful, lasting change. During his psychiatry training in Miami, Dr. Morales deepened his expertise by working with patients from a wide range of cultural and life backgrounds. These experiences further shaped his interest in innovative treatments, including the neuromodulation modalities offered at GIA. Known for his genuine patient connections and thoughtful approach to care, Dr. Morales provides compassionate, personalized psychiatric treatment. Outside of medicine, he enjoys sports, music, and history—interests that complement his clinical work by enriching his understanding of the human mind in all its complexity.

Dr. Moreno graduated from University of Havana, School of Medicine, in 1994, and completed Family Medicine Residency in 1998 and Neurosurgery Residency in 2004. In 2005, he went to Canada where he completed a Clinical Fellowship in Pediatric Neurosurgery at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario. Since 2010 he has been working on Clinical Research on Neuroscience and Mental Wellness, completing several clinical trials on both Academic settings as well as private funded Institutions. Dr. Moreno is a Certified Principal Investigator by ACRP and a Certified Clinical Research Professional by SOCRA and trained through a board Certification on Anti-Aging and functional Medicine. His passions and main areas of expertise are in the field of Neuroscience and Mental Wellness, where he has been exploring the fundamentals of signaling molecules and ion channels for Cognitive, Behavioral and Neurodegenerative pathologies. Specifically, he has mainly focused on applying Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation on patients with Depression, OCD, Anxiety, Addictions, Pain, PTSD, Stroke and dementia.

Michael Lenok, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over eight years of experience in addiction treatment and mental health care. Originally from NYC, Michael has lived in Florida for the past four years. He holds a Master’s in Addiction Counseling: Integrated Recovery for Co-Occurring Disorders from the Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Syracuse University. He has worked in various clinical settings across New York, New Jersey, Washington, Massachusetts, and Florida. His broad experience spans inpatient, outpatient, and recovery residence settings, allowing him to work with a wide range of populations and treatment needs. 

Michael is EMDR certified and integrates a unique, original approach to therapy heavily rooted in existential and reality therapy. His goal is always to help clients not just reduce symptoms—but build lives they find meaningful on a personal level. Michael is heavily client-centered and has an individualistic, holistic mentality towards the recovery process. Michael also brings a rare level of insight from his lived experience. As someone in long-term recovery from addiction, he brings a level of empathy, honesty, and relatability to his work. His style blends clinical expertise with authenticity, humor, compassion, and solutions that make clients feel both supported and challenged effectively. 

Manuel Bruzos is a student clinician at GIA Healthcare. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and is currently a Master’s student in the Professional Counseling Psychology program at Florida International University (FIU). From his experience as a student clinician, he has received training in treating children, adolescents, and adults with internalizing and externalizing disorders. Furthermore, along with his clinical experience, Manuel is currently working within the substance use research field through his role as lab manager and research assistant at the Research on Adolescent and Child Health Laboratory at FIU.

He aspires to pursue a PhD in order to become a licensed clinical psychologist. He is determined to continue working within the addiction field as both a researcher and clinician in order to push knowledge boundaries and improve client outcomes from treatment. 

Amy Baldwin is a dedicated TMS Technician, with eight years of experience in the mental health field. Her journey in healthcare began with her role as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a hospital setting. Later, she transitioned into a Behavioral Health Technician in the mental health unit of the same hospital, gaining invaluable insights into the intricacies of mental health care and substance abuse disorders. Her hands-on experience includes assisting with electro convulsive therapy (ECT) procedures and administering TMS treatments for the past two years.

With a strong commitment to the well-being of her patients, Amy is known for her exceptional care and compassion. She believes in the power of TMS as a non-invasive, effective, and convenient method for individuals to improve their mental health while maintaining their dayto-day routines. Amy’s dedication to making a positive impact on those who suffer internally is evident in her work. In her role as a TMS Technician, Amy Baldwin is committed to delivering the highest standard of care to her patients, contributing to their journey towards improved mental health and a higher quality of life.

Cynthia Cruz is a dedicated healthcare professional with over 12 years of experience in patient care. Her passion for supporting individuals with mental health challenges led her to specialize in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). Cynthia’s career began as a Healthcare Aide, where she provided compassionate care to individuals facing dementia, Alzheimer’s, depression, anxiety, and other mental health struggles. This experience has sharpened her ability to support patients through difficult times. Her deep understanding of patient care and commitment to well-being have made her a standout in the field of TMS. Known for her ability to offer personalized care built on trust and effective communication, Cynthia is focused on improving patients’ mental health. In her role as a TMS Technician, she is dedicated to leveraging TMS technology to make a meaningful and positive impact on the lives of those she serves.

I spent my childhood living between Boston, MA, and Panama, which gave me a unique blend of cultural experiences and perspectives. I earned my undergraduate degree in Pre-Med at MCPHS University, where I developed a strong foundation in health sciences. Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s in Neuroscience at King’s College London to deepen my understanding of brain function and psychiatric disorders. I aspire to obtain a PhD and specialize as a clinical neuropsychologist, focusing on innovative treatments for psychiatric conditions. My goal is to bridge the gap between neuroscience research and patient care, improving outcomes for individuals with complex mental health needs. Alongside my studies, I work as a TMS Technician at GIA Healthcare, where I gain hands-on experience with neuromodulation therapy. I truly enjoy getting to know my patients, learning about their unique experiences, and understanding how their personal histories shape their mental health journeys. In my free time, I enjoy going to the beach, trying new restaurants, and exploring new cities. These experiences help me recharge and stay inspired for the work I am passionate about.

Daria Kuznetsova is a TMS technician at GIA Miami. Since beginning her career in mental health care in 2017, she has dedicated herself to providing high quality, hands-on patient care. Specializing in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) since 2019, Daria has become certified in operating leading systems including Neurostar, Magstim, and currently MagVenture. Her approach is rooted in a genuine passion for putting patients first, ensuring that every treatment session is tailored to individual needs and delivered with utmost compassion. Daria is known for her empathetic nature and her ability to create a nurturing, supportive environment for those undergoing treatment. Her commitment to excellence and patient advocacy not only fosters trust but also plays a crucial role in guiding patients toward improved mental health through advanced TMS therapy. Through her work, Daria continually strives to enhance the quality of life for those she serves. 

Kylie Stoops is a healthcare operations professional with a strong background in behavioral health and a focus on driving organizational efficiency and cross-functional collaboration. She currently serves as Head of Operations at GIA Healthcare, where she supports all aspects of operations across our multiple locations.

Kylie holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Health Administration from Florida Atlantic University. Beginning her career in the behavioral health field nine years ago, Kylie has developed a broad skill set spanning administration, operations, finance, regulatory compliance, and clinical support. She has worked across all levels of care, from inpatient detox and residential treatment to partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programs, outpatient mental health clinics, and private practices. Kylie is also certified as a TMS Operator for both BrainsWay and MagVenture systems, which enhances her understanding of clinical treatments and supports her operational expertise to improve efficiency.

Cindy joins GIA Healthcare with over 15 years of experience in hospitality, client relations, and management. She holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands and is a certified Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Technician. With a unique blend of clinical knowledge and client-centered service, Cindy bridges the gap between TMS expertise and concierge-level care.

In addition to supporting patients through every stage of their journey—both administratively and clinically—Cindy also plays a key role in training TMS technicians, helping to ensure consistent, high-quality care across the team. She is committed to creating a seamless and compassionate experience for every patient.

Diana has accumulated substantial administrative expertise over the last two decades in administrative, office management, and executive assistant roles. Diana focuses on the execution of strategic administrative plans; the creation, structuring, and improvement of administrative, finance, and human resources areas.

Diana has supported C-level executives and fundamental areas such as sales, marketing, customer service, and operations, as well as collaboration with local and worldwide leaders through critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

In her spare time, Diana takes advantage of her free time to spend quality time with her beloved family, meet with friends, exercise, and travel occasionally.
