I need help. What should I do?
Please contact our team at 833-713-0828. We will schedule for you a free consultation.
How does the admission process work?
Once you have decided to join GIA, you will meet with our Admissions Team. During the admission and intake process, we will ask you some demographic, mental health, and medical questions. This will help us understand who you are and learn about your unique needs and goals. The questions can be completed in person, over a telehealth video conference, or over the phone – whichever you prefer.
What paperwork do I need for admission? What should I expect at the time of admission?
The only paperwork you will need is one form of ID (a driver’s license, a passport, etc.), and the information of your insurance card, if applicable.
Our major goal is to get to know you and become your partners in your mental wellness journey. The more information you would like to share, the better we can get to know you. So, you are welcome to bring any pertinent medical documents from past or present providers that you would like to share with us. However, this is not required.
Can my family members, friends, or an advocate accompany me to admission/treatment?
Yes! We encourage everyone to bring whomever they feel comfortable with to their admission and treatment visits, at any stage of their journey.
Do I need an appointment for admission? Do you accept walk in appointments?
Yes, we do accept walk-in appointments. However, we strongly recommend that you call us to schedule a free consultation. This will help avoid any extended wait times.
Insurance and Payment
GIA provides concierge modeled care meaning every client is given the utmost attention of our clinical team. Care planning is based upon sound review of your medical history. As needed, diagnostic work is performed to better understand your specific needs. Clients are asked for payment upon intake covering diagnostics, care planning and initial TMS sessions. We will help you access your Out Of Network benefits. If needed, we can refer lenders that specialize in financing out of pocket medical costs. Please note that we do not take Medicaid/Medicare at this time. Please contact our team at 833-713-0828 for further information.
Do you offer packages or deferred payments?
Yes, we offer several concierge packages. At GIA, concierge means that you will have our undivided, unrushed attention, and we will work with you to create a highly personalized treatment program. Our packages include comprehensive assessments and recommendations that are tailored to your individual needs and goals. During the free consultation, we will take the time to sit down with you, explain our programs and concierge packages in detail, and answer any questions you may have.
On average, how long do programs last at GIA?
This all depends upon your unique needs and goals for your individual wellness journey. Some clients may want to join GIA for a few weeks to one month, others may want to keep coming back for a year. Based on comprehensive assessments, we will recommend what we believe to be an optimal program length for you. We will work with you to tailor the program to accommodate your schedule and preferences.
Do I need to come in every day?
This all depends upon your individual needs and goals. During the first week, we often ask clients to come in every day. After that, we typically ask clients to come in once or twice per week. We will work with you to accommodate your schedule and find the most convenient times for you.
Do you offer any education or support for families of patients?
Yes! We offer mental health education for families and friends as well as family and relationship therapy sessions when they are clinically appropriate.
Do you have Spanish language services?
Yes, we do! Several members of our team, including our clinical director and our TMS director speak Spanish.
Do you offer residential programs?
At this time we do not offer residential programs. However, we are always happy to share a list of nearby centers who offer a residential level of care. We will also coordinate with any center you wish should you want to pursue treatment at GIA following a residential program.
If I live out of state, can you help with accommodation and/or arranging flights to and from Miami?
Yes! Our Concierge Clinical Coordinator will help with fulfilling all of your needs.
Can I start the diagnostics program and treatment at GIA and then continue elsewhere, or see other doctors?
Yes. At GIA, we can provide the diagnostic component only, which includes a psychological evaluation, medical/neurological evaluation and bloodwork as well as a psychiatric evaluation. If you have started your treatment program at GIA and need to continue elsewhere, we are happy to work with you to identify new providers and/or work with your next provider to help you get the care you need and deserve.
